Gallery & sculpture park in a beautiful setting in the far north of Mallorca
This eclectic mixture of art and sculpture, set in beautiful parkland in the north of Mallorca is one to put on your list of things to do.
The Fundación’s main objectives are the conservation and restoration of Spanish Heritage or designated landmarks and also the furthering of the Fine Arts. The collection exhibits paintings and sculpture, encourages artistic interchange and all endeavours associated with the arts and the Balearic Islands.
The building was designed by Hassan Fahty based on traditional Moroccan architecture. One of the highlights of the museum is a 15th-century wood panelled ceiling. The collections include more than 150 portraits of children from the 16th to the 19th centuries, a sculpture garden with pieces by Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu, a beautiful rose garden, an old restored military outpost and the space "SoKraTES", an experimental museum exhibition that showcases objects from different times and places.

We had no idea what to expect, so we said we'd see everything, but it took two and a half hours, and I could have taken longer. The house is fascinating, particularly the ceilings, and the modern art gallery is astonishing. - "Having found a brochure in the tourist office the Foundation looked to be somewhere worth visiting although we had no idea that it would be so amazing. Brochures can be deceptive - this one understates what we found. If you like art - whether that be painting, sculpture or architecture - don't miss this gem. You can choose just to visit part of the museum but we felt that it had definitely been worth investing in visiting both of the art galleries - Nins and Socrates - as well as the house. The house, in addition to being architecturally fascinating, is an amazing gallery in its own right . The guide, Maria, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us the time we needed to wander. You are free to explore the grounds in your own time. Wandering the sculpture park and rose garden in May and in the sunshine was particularly special because of the heady scent from the roses. The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
How to get passes
Prices vary according to the amount of exhibitions and spaces to visit, ranging from 9€ to 15€, while there are reduced rates for children from 11 to 18 years old. Free for children under 10.
